Description

Great relationships create great results. Yet in most organizations, the relationships that actually get work done — across functions, up and down the hierarchy, and out to partners — are left to chance. Leading with Relationships is a five-session leadership program that establishes Organizational Relationship Management (ORM) as a core leadership capability: the skill of building, navigating, and sustaining the web of relationships an organization depends on to perform.

This is not a soft-skills refresher, it's leadership training for how work actually gets done. Every session is hands-on and built around a single leadership principle: navigating complexity and situational awareness. Real relationships are ambiguous and multi-sided, so instead of formulas, participants practice reading what's happening in front of them and choosing the right leadership move in the moment. That's what separates this program from a toolkit, it builds judgment, not just technique.

The program speaks directly to leaders in Business Relationship Management (BRM) roles, where relationship leadership is the job, but its focus is the broader ORM capability every leader needs to turn relationships into influence, alignment, and results.

What You'll Earn

On completing all five sessions, participants receive a verified Credly digital badge in Leading with Relationships, shareable on LinkedIn and with employers as evidence of a leadership capability that's rarely credentialed but always valued.

Format

Five sessions of 3.5 hours (17.5 hours total). Each session carries a single leadership theme, broken into two or three practical 60–90 minute topics, and builds on the session before it.

The Program Arc

  • Session 1 — Trust Under Pressure: read it and build it (the foundation)
  • Session 2 — Reframing the Conversation: change the conversation (the everyday leadership tool)
  • Session 3 — Shaping Behaviour Across the Organization: shape the system (the lever)
  • Session 4 — Repairing and Strengthening Complex Relationships: fix what's strained (the hard cases)
  • Session 5 — Telling the Story of Relationship Value: make it visible (the capstone)

The program comes full circle: the successful initiatives participants explore in the very first exercise becomes the raw material for the leadership impact story they craft in the final session.

Who Should Attend

  • Leaders at any level who want to cultivate and manage relationships across the organization
  • Business relationship managers and business partners who lead through influence
  • Executives and managers ready to navigate complexity and break down silos
