Every function speaks a different language of value. Leading with Impact is a five-session leadership program that builds a shared language for value and impact — so leaders across the organization can navigate different perspectives, align on what matters, and make better decisions about what gets prioritized, funded, and pursued. Description

Every leader sees value differently, a leader in finance, one in operations, and one in the field will each describe the same initiative in entirely different terms, and each is right from where they sit. That gap in language is often the real reason good work goes unfunded, unsupported, or unnoticed. Leading with Impact is a five-session leadership program that builds Value and Impact Leadership as a deliberate capability: the skill of translating across perspectives and building a shared language for value, so organizations can prioritize and select what gets results.

This is not a reporting refresher, it's leadership training for navigating the complexity of competing perspectives on value. Every session is hands-on and builds toward one thing: the ability to read a situation, understand how different interestholders define value and impact, and speak in terms that land across those perspectives. Instead of a single formula, participants learn to recognize whose language is being spoken in any given conversation and adapt without losing substance. That's what separates this program from a reporting exercise, it builds the judgment to align people, not just the words to describe outcomes.

The program draws on the Impact Canvas, a structured way to connect strategy, situation, action, and outcome across different organizational perspectives. Rather than teaching the canvas as a topic, the program uses it as a working leadership tool: participants build a piece of their own canvas in each session, learning to translate their initiative into the language each stakeholder group actually uses to decide what gets prioritized.

What You'll Earn

On completing all five sessions, participants receive a verified Credly digital badge in Leading with Impact, shareable on LinkedIn and with employers as evidence of the ability to align diverse perspectives around a shared language of value.

Format

Five sessions of 3.5 hours (17.5 hours total). Each session carries a single leadership theme, broken into two or three practical 60–90 minute topics, and builds on the session before it.

The Program Arc

  • Session 1 — Value Statements: Finding the Language of Value and Impact (the foundation)
  • Session 2 — Reading the Situation: Context, Strategy, and Sources of Value (the diagnostic)
  • Session 3 — From Initiative to Outcome: Building the Case (the mechanics)
  • Session 4 — Navigating Assumptions and Proving the Case Over Time (the hard cases)
  • Session 5 — Telling the Story of Impact (the capstone)

The program comes full circle: the value statement participants draft in the very first session becomes the raw material for the impact story they tell in the final session, now translated into language that speaks across every perspective in the room.
